It is very hard to put in to words the sadness in which we learnt of the untimely death of Deirdre Kiely.The hard working ladies committee of Clonmel Town have been the rock on which this club has survived and for many years Deirdre was a hardworking member of that committee. Deirdre was deeply committed to the welfare of this club.
The Kiely and O'Shea name is synonymous with the history of our club and Deirdre's part in that legacy will live on forever. Deirdre was a lady to her fingertips and was a friend to all of us in the club. She will be remembered with great fondness by all of us. We will never forget her support and dedication to our club but most of all we will always remember her friendship and wonderful kind nature. If everyone who inhabits this world were like Deirdre, it would be a far kinder and safer place. We are all deeply saddened by her passing but we also know that all our lives have been enriched by knowing her.
